What could be going wrong? I was told that a 600w PSU, which is what I have, would be sufficient for this card, even though the card claims a minimum requirement of 750w. It does boot, and the fans start (this card's fans do stop spinning under low load), so I know it's getting power. I also tried reseating the card a few times. I checked the HDMI cable to make sure it was plugged in correctly. The only way to avoid it has been safe mode. Right now it says I am using the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, and that buys me a lot more time, but after a couple of hours, the monitor went black again.

I tried uninstalling both the 270x and 390 drivers (tried both Add/Remove and Display Driver Uninstaller) to no avail. In one instance I encountered an error that said "bad_pool_header." There are always artifacts, random colors, like green, pink, and other distortions present beforehand.

With the first few boots, I was able to get to the desktop, but now I always lose image at the Windows 10 loading screen. That is, I've put it in the PCIE x16 slot and connected the power cables from my power supply, but it takes an inordinate time to boot and then I lose picture after a few minutes. but the driver was definately not the latest either.I just purchased an MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB to replace my 270x, but I'm having trouble with installation.

I did not have this issue with my 7870s CF. I do not have my PC set to sleep in power mgmt settings. it will not wake if the PC is idle for 5+ hrs. it really only seems like it doesnt wake if i check it the next day. If I set my screensaver to start after 1m and turn off monitor after 5m and come back in 15m its fine. is there a real fix for this.? Or should i follow through with the RMA and try a dif.

So last night i did a full wipe of display drivers and disabled ULPS, this morning, no signal. screensaver comes on after 10m of no activity, nothing unusual here. I have my monitor to turn off after 20m of no activity. (VGA FAIL) reboot, beeps again, reboot beeps again, let it sit for 10m, then reboot and i have VGA signal. mobo beeps, one long beep, 3 short beeps. Next day, monitor says no signal, so reboot, play games, etc.
